Fair Lending & Foreclosure Prevention

The Connecticut Fair Housing Center serves as a resource for borrowers, housing counselors, consumer attorneys, and policy makers on foreclosure prevention, responsible lending, and mortgage lending discrimination issues.  We provide:

  • Fight Foreclosure:  Education for borrowers and housing counselors on identifying predatory loans.  For information on identifying predatory loans and preventing foreclosure, click here. 
  • Find a Lawyer:  Referrals to the Foreclosure Prevention Pro Bono Panel, a network of attorney providing pro bono legal representation to low-income homeowners who are in danger of foreclosure or may be victims of predatory lending.  To access the Panel, call 1-800-453-3320.
