The Connecticut Fair Housing Center serves as a resource for homeowners facing foreclosure–including mortgage, property tax, condo association, and other foreclosure types.
FORECLOSURE ADVICE VIRTUAL MEETING
Currently, any Connecticut homeowner at risk of foreclosure may schedule a free Foreclosure Advice Virtual Meeting to speak with an attorney at the Center and receive advice about foreclosure. This program is for people who own their home or have an interest in a home such as an inheritance or transfer because of a divorce. It is not for tenants, second homes, or investment properties. You will receive advice about foreclosure as part of the program. Eligible participants will be able to schedule 15-minute appointments on set dates with an attorney.
VOLUNTEER ATTORNEY PROGRAM
The Judicial Branch offers its Volunteer Attorney Program on the first and third Wednesdays of the month, from 2-4 p.m., in the following cities: Bridgeport, Hartford, New Britain, New Haven, New London, Stamford, and Waterbury.
REPRESENT YOURSELF GUIDE
The Center also publishes the user-friendly “Represent Yourself in Foreclosure: A Guide for Connecticut Homeowners” available in English and in Spanish. You can order or download a FREE copy of “Representing Yourself in Foreclosure: A Guide for Connecticut Homeowners” at the link below.
